Loss Check Terms

Effective October 7, 2026 · Applies to plant owners and operators

These terms cover AIChamp's free loss check, loss report, digital twin, testing of fixes and pilots for manufacturing plants. They apply when you book a loss check or let us capture data at your site. A signed project agreement or NDA with your company takes priority over these terms where the two differ.

01What we provide

Depending on what you agree to, AIChamp may:

  • capture agreed areas of your line with phones and a plug-in sensor kit (cameras, acoustic, thermal and vibration sensors), without stopping production;
  • deliver a loss report that puts a dollar figure on scrap, rework, bad batches, downtime, mis-grades and similar losses, and ranks the fixes worth testing;
  • build a digital twin: a computer simulation of one or more stations, their items, layout and cycle times;
  • test fixes in that twin, including robots, PLC logic changes, AI quality cameras, equipment and process changes, against a target you set; and
  • coordinate a pilot on your real floor and measure it against that target.

We are vendor-neutral. We do not manufacture or sell robots or equipment, and we are not your systems integrator unless a signed agreement says so.

02How you pay

Loss check · $0

Capture on one line and the loss report are free. You keep the report whether or not you go further.

Fix · on target

You pay the price agreed in writing only if the fix hits the target on your real floor. Miss it, and you pay AIChamp nothing.

Equipment, installation and any third-party costs for a pilot are set out in the target agreement before the pilot starts, including who pays for them. Optional services after a pilot, such as keeping our AI quality cameras on the line, are quoted separately in writing.

03The target agreement

Before any fix is tested on your floor, we both sign a one-page target agreement. It sets:

  • the task and the KPI (for example bad batches as a percentage of batches);
  • how the KPI is measured, and the baseline measured before anything changes;
  • the target and the conditions it must hold under (for example under 1% for 30 days at line speed); and
  • the price if the target is hit.

The result is measured with the same sensors and method as the baseline, and both sides sign it.

04Your data

You own your footage, sensor readings, production data, recipes and process information ("Your Data"). You give AIChamp a limited license to use Your Data only to deliver your project.

AIChamp does not sell, license or share Your Data with anyone outside your project, and does not use it to train products for other customers. Access is limited to the people working on your line, under the NDA. We do not sell Your Data to advertisers or data brokers.

05The report and the twin

You may use the loss report and any twin we deliver for your own operations, including to evaluate proposals from your integrator or vendors.

AIChamp keeps ownership of its own software, app, tools, methods and general know-how, including improvements that do not contain Your Data.

06Capture, partners and safety

Capture is non-invasive. We never access or change your PLC code, and our kit runs on its own network: nothing connects to your systems. Sensors are placed only where you approve and are removed when the project ends.

We work remote-first: we ship the kit and guide your team by video. When a visit helps, our team or a vetted local partner comes on site, under the same confidentiality obligations. Anyone on site follows your safety, PPE, security and induction rules, works around your shifts, and will not operate your machinery. You remain in control of your site, equipment and staff.

07Workers and privacy

You are responsible for telling your workers about recording and for any notices or consents required where your site is located. We will help with a plain-language notice.

We measure stations and materials, not people. Faces are blurred, we do not collect biometric identifiers, and we do not use footage to identify, rate or discipline individual workers.

08Integrators, vendors and robot-AI teams

Integrators, robot makers, equipment vendors and robot-AI teams are independent third parties. AIChamp does not guarantee their products or work. Any purchase, lease, installation or warranty is between you and that party, under their terms.

Robot-AI teams that train in your twin receive only what the project needs, under written confidentiality obligations, and never your raw footage, recipes or company identity unless you agree in writing.

09Estimates, not guarantees

Loss figures, savings, payback periods and simulation results are estimates based on the data available. Real results depend on your operations and can differ. Sample reports, target sheets and calculator figures on our website are illustrations, not results from a real client.

10Confidentiality

Each side keeps the other's non-public information confidential and uses it only for the project. We sign an NDA with you before any sensor goes up. These duties continue for three years after the project ends, and indefinitely for trade secrets such as recipes and formulas.

11Liability

To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost production. AIChamp's total liability for a project is limited to the fees you paid for it in the prior twelve months. These limits do not apply to breaches of confidentiality, misuse of the other side's data, or anything that cannot be limited by law.

12Ending the project

Either side can end a project with written notice. Fees are owed only for targets already hit and services already agreed in writing. When a project ends, AIChamp deletes Your Data from its systems within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, and confirms deletion in writing on request. You keep the report and anything already delivered.

13Referrals

Our referral program, including payout rates and eligibility, is described on the referrals page. Those terms apply to referrers; nothing in them changes your project terms.

14Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts in San Francisco, California, unless your project agreement says otherwise.

We may update these terms. Changes do not affect a project already under a signed agreement. The effective date at the top shows the current version.
